Legendary American auteur Gregg Araki makes a vibrant return to the big screen after 12 long years with I Want Your Sex. To celebrate, we're pairing it with a brand new 4K restoration of Mysterious Skin!

Mysterious Skin tells the story of two pre-adolescent boys who both experience sexual abuse, though the effects of the abuse manifest themselves in very different ways. Neil (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) becomes a reckless, sexually adventurous prostitute, while Brian (Brady Corbet) retreats into a reclusive fantasy of alien abduction.

One day, Neil is contacted by Brian, who after seeing one of their team photos from their days in little league suspects he might have some clues as to what happened to him in the past.

This powerful, cathartic drama from independent filmmaker Gregg Araki has been newly restored by Araki himself. He took extra pains using newly available digital tools to improve on what was possible when the film was shot in 2004 and to fulfil his original intentions for the film.
