Na Hong-jin | Korea | 2026 | 156m

ICYMI is our second-run series, where we screen films we don't think got enough love at the multiplex!

The police and a group of hunters try to track down and kill a mysterious creature that's laying waste to a Korean village.

An unhinged sci-fi epic that boasts awe-inspiring production design and amusingly quaint visual effects, Na Hong-jin's Hope gets the adrenaline pumping whenever it focuses on the unraveling of its hapless human heroes.

Once it gets going, there’s no stopping Hope as it takes viewers through the thrilling twists and turns of an alien invasion filled with equal parts humor and horror.

"Hope is the kind of movie that encourages talking around, in part that’s because it’s surprising, strange, and entertaining enough to make spoiler avoidance unusually worthwhile. That’s also not the whole story." - Jesse Hassenger, The AV Club

"Do yourself a favour and surrender to this entertaining, unwieldy and goofy spectacle. Much like its monster, it runs amok. Bring on Part 2!" - Harry Steiner, Empire

Tickets $12 ($11.40 at the door if available)
