Sedice Spanish Heritage Language and Culture School present the Latin American & Spanish Film Festival (LASFF)! LASFF runs from October 1-4 at Carbon Arc Cinema.

Boxing has always been the sport that best represents Mexican culture of sacrifice and a fighting spirit in the face of adversity. In gym slang, “rómpete la madre” symbolizes total commitment, relentless effort, and the mentality of leaving everything in every training session.

This documentary aims to showcase the role of women in professional boxing. It features three-time world champion Ibeth Zamora and world champion Lupita Martínez, along with Italian boxer Camila Panatta and promoter Mariana Caballero. Through these stories, Uriza seeks to demonstrate that women can also succeed in “a sport that accepted them but wasn’t designed for them.”

Admission is FREE and granted on a first come, first serve basis*.
