Carbon Arc is delighted to partner with Lucid Toons, a monthly series spinoff from the annual Animation Festival of Halifax (AFX)! This year's animation festival marks 15 years of AFX. AFX15 is happening May 7-10, 2026.

The adventure explodes into action with the debut of Mewtwo, a bio-engineered Pokémon created from the DNA of Mew, one of the rarest Pokémon of all time. After escaping from the lab where it was created, Mewtwo is determined to prove its own superiority. It lures a number of talented Trainers into a Pokémon battle like never before—and of course, Ash and his friends are happy to accept the challenge!

Anyone of a certain age remembers the impact that this movie had on an entire generation. A surprisingly tender and exististential adventure now recognized as a bonafide animated cult classic. I mean, it’s The Pokémon Movie playing at on the big screen at Carbon Arc! Come on!
